The EVaP team members attended the 2023 APSA Annual Meeting and Exhibition – Rights and Responsibilities in an Age of Mis- and Disinformation, held at the Los Angeles Convention Centre in Los Angeles, CA, United States.
PI-Ursula Daxecker and research fellow Neeraj Prasad presented co-authored papers “Poisoning your own well: Misinformation, issue entrepreneurship, and voter polarization in West Bengal, India”, and “Voting for violence: Examining support for violent parties in Uttar Pradesh, India”. Ph.D. candidate- Maureen Fubara presented her working paper titled “Rents, subnational incumbents, and electoral violence in Nigeria”. Additionally, team members served as chairs and discussants in other panels.
